My name is Kristy Walker and I am a Master Doll Artist.
I have such a great passion for this art and my goal is to create the most realistic dolls I possibly can.   I have been married for 13 years and have two boys of my own.  I am the owner and Director of a Private School in the Houston area for almost 14 years now.  My constant daily exposure with babies and children allows me to create the most realistic reborn babies possible.  I have lived in Dickinson Texas for the past 10 years.

I was obsessed with dolls growing up as a child, but was always disappointed that I could never find a doll that looked realistic.  When I discovered these dolls I instantly became addicted and have enjoyed every moment of watching each baby that I make come to life.  It is hard to let them go!

ONE OF A KIND CREATIONS!!

I create "one of a kind" reborn doll creations.  No two dolls could possibly be alike, you will truly be getting a one of a kind!  I pay great attention to every detail in my baby creations.  I use the finest quality materials in all of my babies. 

My babies are created using Genesis heat set paints.  I paint layer upon layer of paints to achieve the amazing skintones that you see on my babies.  This is a very time consuming process, as each layer must be heat set to make the paint permanent.  I add undertones and overtones, faint veining, capillaries, mottling, birthmarks, etc. 

I use Doe Suede bodies which are so soft and I stuff them with the softest poly fill. I weight the limbs with fine glass beads the size of grains of sand.  This gives the babies limbs their realistic weight and feel. 

The hair is hand rooted one to two strands at a time to create a realistic appearance as if it were growing out of tiny pores in the head.  The hair is sealed on the inside with a waterproof glue so that it can be dampened and gently styled.  

I paint the nail beds and lightly tip the nails with an off-white paint to give them that "just clipped" realistic appearance.
